Aztec growled angrily out at the burning sky, and began to try and round up his scrambled thoughts....

I have been wronged by all those that held my trust.
Betrayal was not something new to me...but this time....this time it was too much. Far too much.
This time...they would pay. They would all pay until they know the pain i have felt my entire life.
Family? Pride? No. i no longer have any of that. I will find a new family. a new pride. start all over. Like a new birth.
How dare they do this to me, my own blood even!!
Who would blame me for leaving, for disowning them, for snapping? After years of abuse from those I called family...I wanted nothing to do with them.
I have to leave.
Now....HMMGGRRRRRR.

He looked down at his wounded side and grimaced, his thoughts clouded with rage and pain.....He continued thinking to himself and gazed out into the red sunset. He flicked an ear at the sound of soft padding behind him.

The young scout came forth toward Atec, he had but a small message to deliver. "....Ateca. Azteca you need to come back to the pride. The king wishes to have a word with you."

Aztec didnt even move. or acknowledge the scout. He continued to glare into the sunset, a deep growl rumbling within his chest.

The scout was becoing annoyed... "AZTECA! THE KING HAS SUMMONED YOU. YOUR FATH-"

Aztec had delivered a powerful blow to the scout's head and belowed "HE IS NO LONGER MY KING OR FATHER!! AND YOU ARE NO LONGER MY KIN!!!!"

The scout looked up in terror at Aztec's exposed teeth and shuddered as Aztec pressed his claws into the Scout's throat..."You will let me leave and if any of you come after me, i will kill you all."

With that, Aztec lifted his paw and charged into the sunset...the only thought through his head was "i am a phoenix...out of these miserable ashes that were my past, i will rise again to a brighter future. my own future. a future without those who despise my existence...."

Back at the rock, the scout slowly rose, blood dripping from his mouth....."good luck young prince, find a happier place away from this abuse and tyranny...."and then he slowly began the trudge to announce the news to the King...
